    Why Tech?

IF any of this stuff goes down, why is Tech such a slam dunk to come along with Texas? What exactly do they have to offer that the other remaining b12 schools don't? Why not Missouri, KU, or ISU to the Pac 12 with the other 3? Also, how do those schools (TTU, OSU) feel having to wait to see what their big brother does so they can follow along? How would we feel if we had to follow Iowa around? This entire situation is so ridiculous.

The Texas legislature will make sure Tech goes with. By themselves they are nothing. It is the price you pay, along with the LHN, for getting Texas.

Why is Tech tied to Texas but Baylor and A&M are not?

Tech - State school and way more politicians in power

Baylor - Private school and nobody that got them into the Big 12 is around to save them.

I disagree, Stanford and Berkley don't want Tech or KState. The Texas Legislature may stop UT from going but they won't get Tech in.

I would like to agree with you except for it was confirmed that Texas Tech had an offer last summer and Stanford/Cal didn't seem to have a problem with it then.

    Re: Why Tech?

I wonder why our politicians do not step in to the Big 10 and say if the Big 12 dissolves the Big 10 needs to pick Iowa State up. I know they say everything is bigger in Texas, does that go for their politicians power as well??

I'm sure Cal and Stanford are cringing about Texas Tech coming
