    Rethinking College Football

Not sure if this has been posted or not (didn't read through all 1,000,000,000,000,000 posts regarding realignment) but this is a really interesting take on the realignment of college football conferences.

    Thoughts?

I agree; very interesting. And it was created by a member of this board.

    Re: Rethinking College Football

I like it too, but it can never happen.

It assumes one thing. Outright cooperation among all division I football participants to subscribe to the idea, and forego acting in their individual self interest.

If there is something I have learned watching realignment play out, it is an "every man for himself" situation.

The plan is a good one, but would have to be put in place by a large organizational body like the NCAA who have no power in this situation.

While I'm sure it's not that simple this is well thought out and had some very good "rational" ideas. Well done to Tim.
