    Re: Well its official

Are there any signs that the B12 is being proactive to add teams? The was a rumor of BYU.... The B12 should be contacting Cincy, Louisville and South Florida to try to put something together.

This is huge for the big12. Let's poach a few teams now.

    Re: Well its official

i think the b12 is waiting on UT and OU since no teams really want to join us in our current state right now. thats just my guess but if i was byu i wouldnt want to join the b12 unless UT/OU are planning on staying and growing the conference

If we had a great commish, he'd already be talking to teams instead of prob waiting til tom to hear what ou and tex say. He may be in some way, prob not as seriously as i would be, I just don't have any faith in him.

    +1

Beebe is probably waiting for DeLoss to return his calls before he does anything

    Re: Well its official

If OU will vow to stay we can add BYU and let aTm go, then in turn be prepared to pick apart the remains of the Big East with the two teams that we desire the most.

The Big East being the first team to 'officially' lose two teams is great news for the Big 12.

I have a very strong feeling that the Men in Charge in Ames were working on Saturday.

This is too fluid to follow. The ACC, according to reports, caught the Big East and the PAC 12 off guard. Delany seemed surprised too. Coack K's interview in the papers on Saturday evening looked to be the first actual news report that described the ACC addition of Pitt and SU. The rest of the reports are rumors. Coach K said "one time zone."

Delany supposedly is losing his Eastern target, Rutgers, to the ACC. Rumor.

The ball has been put in play. I bet all of the conferences are acting with speed and haste today. The OU and UT meetings on Monday may be irrelevant.

    ACC Next Moves

If the ACC isn't talking to Notre Dame & UConn, I'd be floored. If the ACC could convince ND to join, UConn would be announced at the same time. IMO the Rutgers to anywhere doesn't make sense. They do not add from a market standpoint and their FB & MBB programs are marginal at best.

The next move is probably W. Va to the SEC to join A&M and gets the SEC to 14.

I think this bodes well for ISU in that a conference/division with ISU, KU, KSU, Mizzou, Louisville and Cincy is not a bad deal. It would be pretty solid from a FB and MBB perspective. If somehow Texas & TT would decide to stay, it would still make sense to add BYU.

I know the ACC Revolution concerns ISU, because Jamie Pollard sent me a link to it and said "that could've been us. :-(" Pretty scary stuff.

Thank god my Cyclones got out of UConn last night before the ACC revolution struck. They'd probably all be hostages today.

If the Big Ten is forced to take 4 teams to keep up with the Joneses, is it possible Iowa State becomes one of those teams?

    Re: Well its official

Hate to be glass half empty guy, but do you really think Oklahoma is going to want to stay in a conference with Big East leftovers? If anything, I see this latest development (Pitt and Syracuse going to ACC), as another reason for Oklahoma to bolt the Big 12, and others to follow.

Hope I'm wrong, but just a thought.

The ticker on ESPN just said "The exit fee for leaving the Big East is 5 mil, and if schools wish to leave, they must give 27 months notice."
