    Mayweather v Ortiz

Mayweather is a punk. Dodges Manny and now cheap shots Ortiz. What a *****.

I didn't see what happened, but I'm hearing some say that what happened in tonight's fight is up there with Tyson biting Holyfield's ear.

Cheap shot? If you're stupid enough to drop your gloves in the middle of a round, you deserve to get cold-cocked.

Ortiz accidental headbutt. He walked up and apologized with his gloves down (yes stupid) and Mayweather gave him a 1-2 that knocked him out.

If you want to do that cheap shot **** go fight in the UFC where Dana White and the other pitbull having fans applaud that, but we don't need that in the sweet science. Totally cheap, unacceptable, and embarrassing for anybody that has anything to do with Floyd Mayweather Jr.

How on earth is it a cheap shot? He didn't sucker punch him, he did nothing illegal. Ortiz broke the number one rule of boxing: keep your gloves up. Mayweather would be equally stupid for not taking advantage of that.

If you want to apologize for a headbutt, do it after the round is over. Only an idiot drops his gloves in the middle of a round.

Typical Mayweather garbage. The guy is pure trash. He'll never step in with Pac because he knows he'll end up getting shoveled out of the ring.

For the guy saying it's Ortiz' fault, you're clueless. You come together, touch up, separate, and get back at it. Total and complete cheap ***** shite from Floyd.

    2 things..

1.) how the hell can you say that headbutt was accidental? you posted a video that CLEARLY shows the two guys locked up and ortiz launches his head up at mayweather. definitely intentional.

2.) i have not problem with the punches from mayweather, they touched gloves and ortiz tries to hug mayweather again instead of fighting. you touch gloves and fight, not keep on trying to apologize. mayweather takes a step back b/c the fight is back on and knocks him out cold.

It looked to me Ortiz felt bad about the head butt and gave Mayweather a free shot. Bad idea.

    Re: Mayweather v Ortiz

How many times does he expect the guy to accept an apology before they get back to fighting? He went up to touch gloves/hug/whatever three times. And that head-butt was in no way accidental. He lunged up at him with his head.

Ortiz gave his apology once. Then they touched gloves. Then he drops his gloves and apologizes again. Stupid.

    Re: Mayweather v Ortiz

Ha I have to side with Mayweather on this one. Headbutt definitely looked intentional. Plus, he tries to "hug it out" with Floyd multiple times in the middle of the round. I have no problem with Floyd knocking his *** out when he did.

Plus they touch gloves, the ref brings them together and Ortiz isn't ready to go. Not Mayweathers problem IMO

    Re: Mayweather v Ortiz

It was mainly a poor job by the referee. There has to be a lot clearer directive to the two boxers in that situation. Poor form by Ortiz on the headbutt and then poor but legal form from Mayweather. I also get a kick out of the people that dismiss how good Mayweather is as a pure boxer because of all the other stuff that surrounds him. Also, when/if Mayweather v. Pacquiao happens I'll be more than happy to take a bet on either side with odds from the people that are so certain they know who would win.
