Reynolds is #10 on sportscenter top plays

I'm happy as can be to have ISU in the top plays for the day but I have never seen a stiff arm and hurdle for a TD before and some of the baseball plays weren't all that impressive. I guess it's a good thing to annoyed about in the grand scheme of things.

Reynolds got gipped. So did Lenz. I don't care who hears it.

Re: Reynolds is #10 on sportscenter top plays

In the post-game interview on the two-man vault (player interviews at cyclones.com), the reporter nearly cracked him up when he asked if he had ever done that before.

    No, he hadn't.

Good grief, I don't remember Barry Sanders ever doing that before. Its not like its something you plan on doing very often!

I thought Lenz had one of the top 10 catches ever.

Right on! That Lenz catch was unbelievable. And at a key time!

In terms of just catches or plays that was an amazing one. Sometimes plays get overlooked because they don't go for scores.

Re: Reynolds is #10 on sportscenter top plays

Can't even get a little extra consideration when ESPN airs the game. The Lenz catch should have been worth of a top ten if it had been made by an NFL WR, let alone by an unknown player on an anonymous college team. Naturally, the circumstances that would have made it all the more special for other teams are held against us.

Side note. Anyone else think the top ten is full of remarkably unspectacular plays during baseball season? How many times can the shortstop jumping for a catch be special?

Just saw it. Not even the catch I was thinking from #7. I thought maybe the pass from Lenz. Or maybe the jump ball on 3rd and 19. And like the above poster said, Lenz's sideline catch deserves to be on there too.

exactly. it's like the have so many baseball plays they have to put in the top 10, no matter how average they are. and btw a dunk with no one around you should never be a top play.

Lenz's catch and touchdown throw should have been in the top ten. This is why ESPN sucks.

Re: Reynolds is #10 on sportscenter top plays

Rhoads said Lenz's catch was the best catch he ever saw in person and not only does it not get the top play of the night, which it deserved, it doesn't even get into the highlights of the game. I could understand if there wasn't TV coverage but c'mon ESPN was covering the game.

On a side note, I really hate highlights of soccer year round, there is always some stupid soccer game being played somewhere that no one really cares about and ESPN feels compelled to put some average looking play into the top ten. UGH

Re: Reynolds is #10 on sportscenter top plays

Lenz's catch and Money's stiff arm and hurdle were two of the best plays I've seen live. Watching the replay on slow mo, i couldn't believe it.

And, now watching the top plays, MAYBE 1 of those plays total were cooler. Baseball always makes up half the top 10 with mediocre plays. Like Longoria's double play at 6? Really?

Having played some 3rd base in pickup baseball games, I was impressed with Longoria's play. What I wasn't impressed with was a mediocre tennis play being in the top ten over an acrobatic football catch.
