Anyone else worried about the way Jantz runs with the ball?

I keep watching the game highlights and other videos and every time I see Jantz scrambling, he doesn't secure the ball, just holds it in one hand. I hope this doesn't come back to bite us...

That's actually for the best because it leaves him open to throw the ball.

He tucks pretty soon after crossing the LOS.

He does a good job tucking it once he's past the LOS. He holds it out when he still has the option to pass.

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”

This. You never know in a scramble when someone will open up.

He's also good at avoiding hits. He ducks out of bounds or dives/slides a lot when he sees guys closing on him, so it's not like he's getting beat on too bad. Much less chance of the ball coming out when he's not getting hit too hard.

You can spend a lot of time and money picking out the perfect floral bouquet for your date ... but you're probably better off checking if you have bad breath and taking the porn out of the glove compartment.

The moral: you gain more by not being stupid, than you do by being smart. Smart gets neutralized by other smart people. Stupid does not.

Watch the hit tape from this point:

Iowa State Gameday Hit Tape vs. UCONN - YouTube

Shows him working his down-field options (none) then committing to the run. (1 play)

I'm more concerned with how he takes a seat in a lecture hall without hurting his giant stones.

I would be more worried if Jantz ran without the ball.

This post gets the "Norm Parker Led Defense" stamp of approval.

Re: Anyone else worried about the way Jantz runs with the ball?

Not worried about it at all, in fact, I love that he ALWAYS has his eyes downfield, still looking to make a throw as he scrambles. It's been a long time since we had a QB do that.
