Tron, living in western Iowa, the hate toward Huskers and their stupid fans specifically those in W. Iowa should never end.

CW I'm right there with you. FSU games against N were great.

Glad I'm not alone. For real though. The Noles pounding the 'Skers made me a lifelong fan. It's crazy!

    Re: Tron's Take: On UConn

Gotta love Tron's enthusiasm and especially his prediction: 35-10, ISU. And count me in with Chris about really liking FSU. I've always been a fan of the Seminoles but I really gained a lot of respect after our game against them in KC (still wish I could find a copy of that game on dvd). Seminole fans are some of the greatest fans I've ever met.

Never argue with an idiot. They will bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

    Re: Tron's Take: On UConn

I agree with Tron about the team not coming out flat, but I think you have to look at the match-up as well. Sure, this is a new, confident football team, but this is going to be a defense that has answers to some of the things we do on offense. I still think it's a Cyclone win, but I'm not predicting a total blowout on the scale of 35-10.

Have lived in SW Iowa my whole life minus when in College. Really tough to determine which fans I hate more the Iowa ones around here who never have been over there or the NU fans who refer to the team as We. Always loved FSU those days.

I live a little ways north or Siouxer City (other than now of course while I'm at school in Ames) and I gotta tell ya, in western Iowa, I can't tell which team I hate more. When Iowa and Nebraska play, I'm going to have a tough time deciding who I'd like to see lose more.

Truer words have never been spoken.

Most think Tavern Hoks are bad, you guys haven't seen anything until you meet western Iowa tough guy Husker fans. They honestly think they are better than you because you are an ISU fan, even when they are begging you for a job because they are about to get kicked out of the trailer park.

Lincoln, NE. Where every game is a family reunion.

I hated the 'noles at the time of the game, simply b/c I had aspirations of ISU becoming that dominant, cocky, swagger having force that FSU was. I think Rhoads is gonna get us there, to some extent but it takes time.

Now, having spent 10 years living in Tampa, having countless FSU friends, various FSU alumnae romps & visiting the campus on both game days & on random weekends, I have to say I absolutely love FSU. It has become my second favorite collegiate team...and, yes, their fans are passionate & knowledgeable.

I'm still contemplating finishing my Master's there but yeah, if you want to really experience a true football game day experience (outside of Ames), take a trip to Tally sometime. I wouldn't say they have the same tailgating experience but it's def worth being a part of - it's great but just different than Ames.

It's kind of an interesting town but FSU is awesome!

By the way, UF is like UofI fans to a whole other level, of course they have found tremendous success to legitimize some of it but they still make me throw up a little in my mouth.
