I thought the review was great, but was he referring to the Jacobsen building as the Olsen building?

I believe so but I think it's hard to differentiate the two to someone that doesn't really know since they are connected.

Not bad. He should have a specific category for tailgating though. A lot of stadiums have atmosphere inside the stadium, but their tailgating is sub-par (I'm lookin at you Kinnick).

He should just replace 'neighborhood' with 'outside the stadium'.

Some stadiums the neighborhood and bars around it might be their draw. Others it might be their tailgating. He gives us 2/5 on 'neighborhood' and then goes on in that section to talk about how awesome our tailgating is. Personally i think its a positive that JTS wasnt built in a neighborhood. I can go to a bar anyday, i can only tailgate a few weeks a year.

I agree. If there is a neighborhood rating (in which we received 2 of 5 stars), then there should be a tailgating rating. Most university stadiums are either urban and would receive a good "neighborhood rating" and bad tailgating rating, or vice-versa - like in Iowa State's case.

I'll take 5 star tailgating over any so called stadium "neighborhood".

Edit - otherwise I agree with the reviewer. These stadium journey reviews are always interesting. They usually pick up on stuff I never noticed.

    Not a bad write up.
I agree with Cyhiphopp though, there needs to be a separate section for tailgating.

Yeah, those two star neighborhoods can be the pits to live in especially with all the frats....

Good review but definitely disagree about the neighborhood thing. I think it is an absolute positive that there aren't a bunch of houses and/or bars near the stadium. Access to the venue is better and parking, as he noted, is a non-issue. Bars near a stadium are just not my style I guess but after seeing several games at Memorial in Lincoln and how being "near" bars can effect things, I would vote to keep JTS right where it is.

Edit: As a point of fact, I read the "neighborhood" section of his review of Kinnick. Talks specifically about the distance to the ped mall bars from Kinnick which he lists as one mile(1.3 according to google). If you google map Jack Trice to Welch ave. it is 1.3 miles. He also includes Buffalo Wild Wings as a positive in the neighborhood, so... disagree.

    Re: Jack Trice Review

He should've just said 1/2 of the neighborhood is in a 100 year flood plain that floods every 10 years, so the level of awesomeness is limited. However, for 6 or 7 days every year the level is off the charts.
