Great video from new Clone fans.

I found this vid on YouTube about the post game Iowa celebration. Turns out these guys want to visit all the major D1 schools football stadiums. They chose Saturday to come watch ISU and root for our team. I love their enthusiasm!

Very cool, unfortunately I couldn't go the game and the TV coverage cut off shortly after the end of the game. Very cool to see a video of what happened.

Terrific video and the fans on the field during the last few seconds of the video were great in unison. He has two other videos from the day and has very nice comments in the videos. Color them impressed.

It's nice to see those types of comments from an unbiased person.
Has some other nice ISU vids in there, as well as this gem: (read what he says in the description. Again, another unbiased opinion. ha)

I think Jack Trice gets louder than Kinnick.

Pretty neat idea-visiting major schools and rooting for the home team.

Re: Great video from new Clone fans.

Honestly, I've been to Kinnick a couple of times, and I think the problem is that only the student section gets really loud. When you're hanging out in other sections with the old fogies or visiting teams, they occasionally will yell "Go Hawks", but the only real sound is coming form the student section. I can't really comment on other areas of JTS, but from the student section JTS is much louder

Re: Great video from new Clone fans.

Having visited Iowa City and seeing Iowa State at Iowa a few years ago I was surprised at how much more lively the ISU fans were inside and outside the stadium. And, what a great game. ISU won in triple OT and the students rushed the field. Thanks for a great time ISU! Go State!

Ehh... debatable. The loudest I've ever heard a stadium was in Kinnick. In 2006, my freshman year of marching band. There were over 75,000 people there if I remember right. It was so loud that I literally couldn't think.

However, I would say that the Jack is louder on average. Iowa has the pure numbers to make noise, but Iowa State puts in much more effort, and it gets loud a lot more often.

Have to agree with HuxleyClone unfortunately...

Went to a Packers, Vikings game I believe in 2006 at the Metrodome. The game was decided on a Ryan Longwell last second field goal for Minnesota and the shriek that was let out after they won in the closing seconds was the loudest I have ever heard a sports stadium...

To be fair though it is completely enclosed and has more people in it.

Sat was the loudest I have ever seen a college game get and I have been to alot of different games.

Check out his other videos and the comments he made about them:

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=su5_pa2NbeA"]Iowa State Spirit Walk (vs Iowa Sept 2011)[/ame]

Ames shocked me a little bit. After seeing Iowa's similar team walk to the stadium a few years back in Iowa City, I expected a poorly attended and un-enthused crowd, along the same lines as I witnessed when Iowa State traveled to Iowa a few years back. Fortunately, I was wrong. The Spirit Walk at Iowa State seems to have garnished a healthy tradition and passion is growing.

The Cyclone's Spirit Walk takes places outside Jack Trice Stadium two hours prior to kickoff on home games and is held together by Iowa State cheerleaders, Iowa State Dance Team members and of course the Iowa State "Varsity" Marching Band. This walk was prior to Iowa State's hosting of Iowa in September of 2011.
As many here have said before, I'd put the gameday atmosphere at Jack Trice from tailgating through leaving up against just about any other major college football program out there. The way Rhoads and Co. are building this program, I have no doubt we'll continue to see accounts like this one of how much fun and surprising a game at ISU is. (hopefully they won't all need to go into 3OT's though).
