Respect from the Iowa Broadcast crew

In the past I have done my share of ripping on the Iowa broadcast crew. I listened to some of the Iowa post games show, granted I didnt listen to all of it, but most of their comments were good towards ISU. Even old Jimmy Zabble didnt have excuses. I just hope old I am not worried about this game Jon Miller likes eating crow.

Agree that most of the crew was good, especially Jon but Zable decided to ask Ed about the "historical fact" that Iowa State treats this game like no other on their schedule, its our superbowl and we spend all year preparing for it. He is an idiot.

When I was at work the Hawk broadcast was on(2 Hawks vs 1 Cyclone) and Gary Dolphin was very complimentary towards ISU. I've always thought he calls a good game and honestly I think he does a better job remaining objective than Walters. Can't say I care for Polodak at all though.

Dolphin couldn't stop gushing about Steele Jantz for most of the postgame...and right fully so. Probably the best individual performance I've seen in Cy-Hawk.

Deace and Miller can suck it on Monday. Is it just me or have they both been hoak fans the last 3 weeks? They better spend the week talking about how wrong they were and how good the clones are.

I didn't listen to it, but a friend of mine that I tailgated with was telling me Podolak was super upset with Captain Kirk and Iowa.

This. Pretty normal them both being hawk fans, but can't wait to see what Deace has to say about our "glaring weaknesses" that "will take more than one season to fix." For the guy that's supposed to be the Cyclone fan on the show he does a terrible job of it.

Re: Respect from the Iowa Broadcast crew

Not that I don't disagree with Deace on things, but lets not forget ISU barely got past a FCS school last week. Based on that performance there were a lot of weaknesses. Just glad they improved a lot from week 1 to week 2.

Which is why you never get too low after a performance or too high. Thats why Ferentz many years has Iowa playing so well even after a loss in this game, they move on and improve. I just hope this isn't the ceiling for ISU this year like sometimes it was during McCarney, but I have a feeling it will be different under Rhoads.

Deace isn't an Iowa fan, he's a Michigan fan. He usually likes to get through his "ISU responsibilities" as quickly as possible so he can get back to his true passion of caring only about the Wolverines...

Podolak was pretty critical of Kirk at the end of the 4th quarter when it was clear they weren't going to even try to score. Its pretty unusual for him to be the openly questioning/going after Ferentz, usually a little more veiled.

Congrats to Iowa State. Your team completely outplayed Iowa after the first quarter and really took the fight to Iowa after that.

Jantz is a stud. 2 for 2 now in just taking the team on his back and flat out making a win happen. If he can keep running the offense like that, there are going to be more big wins on the way and a nice shot at playing around New Year's Day, give or take a couple days.

I dont care who he is a fan off, he is going to make Miller look so bad Monday.

Caught a little of post game soundoff just to get a few laughs in. Miller and Podalak were very complimentary toward Iowa State. Zabel I don't think watched the game. Someone must have told him the final score as he was coming off a gold course and heading to the 19th hole. He sounded clueless to what happened. (Shocked I know...)

Maybe we beat a poor quality bcs team yesterday. We don't know. UCONN should be on our scope now. 3-0 would be an awesome start and then a bye week to heal up.
