    Minnesota Coach Jerry Kill

    darrenrovell darren rovell

Minnesota coach Jerry Kill just collapsed on the sidelines. BTN announcer says it appears like it is some sort of seizure.
Not a whole lot known right now as it just happened. Sounds like he fell on his own (no collisions with players or anything like that caused it.)

I agree with this, however it would be a hard thing to do given the game situation.

Minnesota is down 7, and has the ball at the New Mexico State 25-yard line with 26 seconds left. If the players want the opportunity to go for the win, I say let them.

Hopefully this is just heat related and needs some IVs with overnight observation. Currently 88 degrees in Minneapolis at 6:15 pm. Warm day for a football game.

Saw it happen live. He was down on the ground, the trainers came down to him, and then he just started sqwirming and the trainers tried to hold him down.. Scary sight.

Just turned to the BTN and saw a bunch of shots of the crowd looking ahead, stone cold silent. That's really scary. I hope he's alright. :(

Apparently, this is not the first time Coach Kill has collapsed on the field during the game.

Jerry Kill collapses, taken off field - Big Ten Blog - ESPN

Scary stuff at Minnesota, where head coach Jerry Kill collapsed late in the game and had to be taken off the field in a stretcher.

Kill went down with 20 seconds left in the game with what appeared to be a seizure. Kill had suffered two seizures on the sidelines during previous coaching stops. The game was stopped for several minutes as players gathered in prayers.

We don't know the severity of the situation yet, but thoughts and prayers go out to Kill and the Gophers.
He has a history, unfortunately, of having seizures.

Heard that he has a history of seizures, but either way that would be a scary deal...

Scary situation, but in all honesty, a history of seizures is probably a good thing. Much more likely that he simply suffers from epilepsy. Otherwise I'd be much more concerned about an acute medical condition or possibly a brain tumor. Epilepsy is certainly a scary and dangerous disease but probably beats the alternative in this case. Thoughts and prayers to Coach Kill.
