Our 6-19 on third down is pretty crappy, though.

Yeah thats pretty low thanks to our O-line and inability to run the ball...but look at Penn State's

I like our punting stats too. Kirby's a good one.

That is impressive, but the fact that we had to go for it on 4th down 3 times is a little discouraging.

    Re: ESPN Stats Week 1

Let's look at the stats that wins most games...59th in 1st downs, 76th in 3rd down %, 18th in Attempts but 110th in completion %, 79th in Passing Yards, 113th in QB rating, 68th in rushing yards, 79th in receiving yards, 84th in total yards. KState was the only Big12 team below us at 89th in total yards. We have to get a lot better if we are going to compete this year for a bowl game.

Agreed, all areas have to vastly improve for us to even have a winning season.

or maybe we just need to get the rest of our o-line back. im sure we would have pounded uni if we had been able to give jantz more than 2 seconds to throw the ball. clearly our 2nd team o-line isnt big 12 caliber but our starters would have done a much better job

Like last year right? No wait, that was all Tiller's fault. Plus UNI had 5 turnovers and still out-gained us.

And its not like the Oline played any better when KO was in the game. He can only play one position, and our offense didn't look any different before he got hurt.

Agreed. We'll have everyone back this week. I'm faithful that we'll be a lot better offensively and defensively this week because that's what the coaches are saying. But, I know there is a lot more to the offensive woes than what's being said. I'm a huge cyclone fan but I don't wear blinders.

Are you counting the 100+ yards of interception return yardage that the offense had taken away from them? Can't score if the defense does it for you.

Ohh, can we do that? Have the refs give us a 4A and 4B?? Skip that whole 3rd down thing all together!
