    Coker from Iowa

Really nervous about this guy. Iowa State has never done well against big strong running backs with big lines in front of them. Guy reminds me of former Hawkeye Nick Bell. I think if we can hold Coker we have a chance. If Coker get's rolling it could be a long day.
I am pretty confident we have to play mistake free and make all of our field goals. We should be alright if we can do all of that.

Are you kidding right now? This guy had a case of the dropsies against Tennessee Tech and was pulled in favor of a freshman backup. Coker doesn't scare me.

The health of Rump and Knott will be the biggest keys in this game. If Iowa has to deal with both Rump and McDonough on run games it'll be hard to open holes. Knott's tackling has been effected by his bad arm.

Ellen DeGeneres is better at holding onto balls than Coker.

Yeah, and UNI had 4 turnovers against us last year, and only one this year, while we had 4.

Coker also had over 200 yards rushing in their bowl game last year behind essentially the same offensive line.

This is my biggest concern. If we can manage to contain the running game, we have a shot as their QB is also new this year, though he's more familiar with their offense than Steele is with ours.

he may have dropped a couple balls but go back and look at the Missouri game film. He killed Missouri.

I guess you didn't see what he did last year. One bad game does not mean he is not good and potentially explosive. Last year against Ohio St in one of his first games back he was averaging about 6 or 7 yards a carry in the first quarter before they put Robinson back in. And then obviously the bowl game he did pretty well. Plus the fact that we haven't been too good at stopping the run.

You don't think Iowa's line will be able to open holes for Coker? OK.

Nick Bell was a beast. I can see the comparison but Coker seems faster.

My grandma could have rushed for 230 yards against Mizzu's D.

I thinly the passing game is more important to shut down. They only really have one proven back. If we can force him to be a majority of their offense he may get worn down as the game goes on.

Coker's got the POTENTIAL to be another Shonn Greene. He's not there right now, though. He's got the power, he's got the speed. What he doesn't have yet is the ball security that Greene brought (just one fumble in 2008, and it was on a hit that knocked him out cold), and he doesn't run with the same lower-than-***** pad level yet.

When he develops those two aspects of his game, he could easily take off like Greene did. But he isn't there right now. Still very good, but he's hardly Doak Walker or Heisman caliber today.
