ISU to Big10 Website, it's time to crank it back up!

Last year someone created a BIG10 website, anyone have the link? Sorry I have a new computer and didn't get into my new favorites.

Looks like it is time to crank that out again and blast it to the powers that be...one more time! Including all the Iowa BOR. I'll create an e-mail list of the B10 presidents/AD's and IBOR to send support regarding our place in the BIG10.

    Thanks ahead of time.

It will sure be fun to e-mail Tom Osborne.

I wouldn't mind at all if ISU were in the Big Ten. That being said, blasting emails to the Iowa Board of Regents as some sort of demand that ISU gets in the Big Ten is a huge waste of time, as if Iowa is in some position of influence and power in the Big Ten?

Someone has to be the voice for the voiceless.

No representative or media member (*COUGH*COUGH*COUGH*) in this state seems to give two ***** about ISU. In fact, it seems it's just the opposite from the media.

No one will notice you if you stay silent.

ISU in the big 10 is interesting but would the big 10 even want 14 members?

here is that websites facebook page. http://www.facebook.com/pages/ISU-to...29758487043112

From the eyes of a Hawkeye, I am not sure why more would not want ISU to move to the big 10. First, it would free up a nonconfernece game for them to scheudle whoever they want. Secondly, it would turn in to a conference game (and in the eyes of a Hawkeye) an easy way to pad the conference record and a way for the program to stay in the upper half of the Big 10.

I see this written out a lot, so let me ask a question.

If you could wave your magic wand, what would you have a media member say and more importantly do, that you really feels would help improve the situation for ISU?

These decisions are going to be all about money...television money. It's clearly the driver behind all of it.

If I was told the Big 10 was going to 16 and I could pick the teams to fill it out, I would choose Notre Dame, Missouri and Iowa State.

The fourth team (I forgot to add this before) would be one of Pitt, Maryland, Syracuse, Rutgers

Why would the Big Ten want us? It's a pretty tough sell when you don't bring any additional TVs to the table, or a high profile (as in winning) program.

Yes, because a media member saying, "Iowa State should be in the Big 10!" is really going to help. I'm sure Gordon Gee gives a ****.

Anybody else, or want to stick with 15?

Jamie Pollard and President Geoffrey aren't likely taking the "Nothing we can do, we give up!!!" attitude.

Why don't you start here and come up with your own argument since you appear to want ISU in the Big Ten so bad:

About Iowa State - Iowa State University

If it were about academic resume, research dollars generated, etc, ISU would be a very attractive piece for any league.

It's about TV revenues...the reality is that were Iowa not a long time member of the Big Ten, a league that owns its own network and therefore doesn't have to change much (meaning it can afford to keep schools like Northwestern and Iowa who are not elite TV draws), Iowa would not be on the solid footing its on.

It is hard to imagine the Big Ten adding a second school from a smaller population state.

That was me/us. It's IS****ig10.com (ISU to Big 10 dot com) which for some reason this message board software interprets as something needing to be blocked.
