Great experience at the UNI game

We had some neighbors at the U Itailgate in D3. A fifth wheel ere contained the family of the little girl adopted by the basketball team last year. Friday night I noticed a tall woman in a boot walking over there. Yes it was Amanda Zimmerman. Had a nice chat with her. Pop was also there. The icing on top of the cake was on Saturday. My wife noticed a tall woman walking by our tailgate and recognized Anna Prins. She told her I was a big fan and asked her to come talk with me. She did and of course got my pic with her and Big C. Asked them about the upcoming season and all said it was coming along well. Lots of work to do. Amanda to be out of boot in a couple of weeks.

Most importantly? These are just super individuals. Very personable. Makes a fan proud.

That's awesome acoustimac, thanks for sharing - wish I could have been there! I saw Coach F last year at the Missouri tailgate and I freaked out because I didn't have my camera... So I told him I want him to get to a Final Four before he retires, and he kind of gave me a scrunched up look on his face. Not sure I said the right thing! ha. LOL

At 5'9" I never thought of myself as short until standing behind Anna Prins in a line at the game. I wished her luck this season and hoped that the team had a good season. She is a very nice young lady. By the way the game was pretty good too.

    Acoustimac,

Thanks for sharing and other comments. I ran into Anna P last fall at Walmart, had a nice visit with her - yes, a great young lady. FYI, she also did a basketball clinic at our church for young gals a while back. Same for the volleyballers who personally delivered season tickets to our home = super gals, we were blown away.

Several of the players were at the volleyball match against Iowa on Saturday. Hallie, Pop, Anna, Elly, Moody, and Mays. Our athletes do a nice job of supporting each other at their events, which says a lot about our athletic department and coaches.
