    Bass

I am really impressed with this guy. I am watching the replay of the UNI game right now. This guy not only runs hard and has good vision, but his blocking is outstanding on those QB draws. He really seems to get out there and look for someone to go after. If everyone on that team had his attitude there is no doubt ISU would be 2-0!

Keep up the hard work and attitude JJ!

    Re: Bass

I would like to see him get 20-25 touches Saturday, possibly more. I am impressed with him. If we get away from running the ball early in the game like we did so much last year, we are doomed this season. I feel he will only get stronger as the game goes on.

    Re: Bass

I agree with the 20-25 touches Saturday. I was really disappointed that he did not play more during the UNI game. Don't get me wrong Alexander Robinson played excellent.

    Re: Bass

I agree with Robinson, seems like he is a bit quicker and could break one, actually they both could. Like to see a lot of both Saturday including some screen and dump-off passes to them. Not sure where Scales is at. We could really destroy Iowa with little dump passes especially with a quick back. Remember what the Nebraska RB did to us 2 years ago out there?

When was the last time ISU had two backs they could rely on? Davis and Hayward.

You mean Ennis Haywood. Reggie Hayward played on the other side of the ball.

BTW here is a nice article on Ennis, too tragic what happened.

    Re: Bass

Bass would be our team MVP right now IMO....

If were able to run against iowas front seven, this front seven will be every bit as good as most of the fronts we will see in the big twelve.

I really think the combo of Bass and Alexander gives us a great 1-2 punch. I would really like to see scales be used on punt returns if he can catch them, he would remind me of KSU Darren Sproles (Iowa Boy) and could provide an instant upgrade at what has become a hold your breath situation each time our punt receiving team goes on the field.

Love to see that first ISU win this weekend.....

I completely agree... if ISU can run well on Iowa, it bodes very well for the rest of the season. I don't know if we'll be able to get it done though.

    Re: Bass

I am just waiting like crazy for this guy to bust out the long TD run, because you can just tell he has it in him. All it takes is a few good blocks at the point of attack and someone blocking downfield to spring him...But I do agree we could KILL iowa by running some well designed dump off passes to counter an over-agressive defensive rush.

I have a good feeling this could be the Saturday for Bass' long TD Run.
