There was a lot of "coach speak" today, HOWEVER, I don't think the team speed comment was necessarily so.

UNI has tremendous team speed. Rhoads mentioned 4X100 relay team speed. I think several UNI football players are sprinters on UNI's track team... which by the way... is a REALLY good track team.

But hopefully we have much better size to go along with our speed. I think we do.

And how about JaQuarius Daniels Cyclone fans! The kid comes into camp as our 5th string QB behind Jantz, Tiller, Barnett, and Richardson... and makes his OWN decision to switch to WR because he felt he had a better chance at helping us there.... and now he's going to be getting playing time Saturday night as a true freshman!

What a great story that is. All props to JaQuarius Daniels! Good show kid.

Agreed, way to go JQ! Love this kid doing what it takes to be succesful at ISU. IIRC, he made some comments about being the first in his family to go to college and seems to want to make it in Ames. Tremendous respect for his maturity and work ethic already!
