Interesting blog and photos from the 2005 ISU-A&M game

Houston's Clear Thinkers: An afternoon on the sidelines at Kyle Field

Stumbled upon this when searching for something else. Some interesting things and perspectives there. A Texas friend of Dan's wrote it and posted some photos he took from our sideline.

PS. We already know, Dan is gone. He was both the worst and best coach in ISU football history, blah, blah, blah. Lets not start yet another Pro-Dan vs. Against-Dan thread. Just found this to be interesting, great photos and well written.

42-14. What does the 42 mean? Total rushing yards? Total plays? Number of sacks we took in the game?

What?! The number of points we scored?!?

I forgot what it was like to have a powerful offense.

It's hard to believe the Meyer-Blythe tandem did that 2 years ago and how things are going now.

I just looked at the old article on cyclones.com. Blythe had 4 touchdowns (ISU single game record) and Meyer had 371 yards passing.

I know a lot of pieces are gone since then, but it's still hard to believe.

What's really sad is that we have a lot of the same offensive weapons that we had in that game.

    Actually, we just have 2.

    Meyer
    Blythe

Sumrall, Barkema and Moses were there, but were virtually non-factors in the game.

Re: Interesting blog and photos from the 2005 ISU-A&M game

My theory about the main difference. Confidence and game tape. Opposing defenses know what they are capable of, and have found ways to stop it. ISU has not found an adjustment, and Meyer has lost some of the confidence that he once had. I really hope he can break loose for a game and get that swagger back. The kid has talent.

Ahhh....the good old days. I think that game(or the '05 game at NU)cemented my status as a Cyclone fan.....

I should have said the 2 biggest offensive producers in that game we still have. It's still kind of sad. Hicks had a good game if I can remember correctly, too. Although I'm quite happy we now have Bass.
