I like his comments about the strength of solidarity of the remaining 9 schools. That bodes well for us.

I thought so. He really doesn't seem worried, but he could just have an awesome poker face too. He is good about keeping things quiet.

Re: Jamie Pollard Comments on A&M conference

its really frustrating that there's a huge cyclone event with speeches from coaches/AD right in Des Moines and there's zero media coverage. i understand why, just wish it were different.

not a criticism of CF. but if you're beat reporter for isu sports wouldn't you take advantage of all that info???

It is about as solid as last year's statment that the 10 remaining schools were committed to the conference.

Agree. And do I take JP's comments to mean that if the Big Ten came calling, we would turn them down?

Yep. Its easy to say 'we're committed to the big 12' when all other potential scenarios are either never going to happen (Big10), or financially a big step down (big east, other non-bcs conferences)

As long as UT and OU stay in the big 12, there will be seven tag alongs. Unless the big 10 decides it wants one or more of those tag alongs.

Depending on what looks to happen with additions to the B12 (if A&M leaves), I could very easily see a scenario where we would turn down the B10 given the option. The B12 can still have a very lucrative future.

Especially considering that the BTN model is quickly giving way to another conference TV network model in which the PAC-12 is pioneering. The BTN may soon be not the most lucrative conference TV network in the nation.

    rocks!
