Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

Hope she makes the team. After four quiet years at ISU, she really stepped up her senior year and produced.

Stacy Frese is the only ISU player to ever really play in the WNBA. Megan Taylor and Angie Welle have been cut in training camps, Desiree Francis was hurt all the time. I hope a few of our alum can make a team and stick with it in the future.

Re: Wilkins Signs with WNBA's Defending Champion Sacramento Monarchs

Wilkins just finished her first regular season game with the Monarchs. I haven't seen the official stats yet, but based on my tallying of the statistics, she played about 10 minutes, had 6 points, and one turnover. She played 4th quarter minutes in a Sacramento beat-down of the Phoenix Mercury.

I haven't watched a lot of WNBA games, especially in their entirety, but it is sure a testament to Wilkins that she is playing at that level - those players are good!!!
