    No more Jeff Johnson lead 'CYCLONE POWER'

    No disrespect intended for Jeff, he's a great Cyclone fan but FINALLY!

    President, ISU Alumni Association
    Under the outstanding leadership of the ISU Alumni Association’s energetic president, Jeff Johnson, Cyclone! Power! has become a part of the game-day ritual for Iowa State football. The ISU Athletics Department and coaching staff wish to thank Jeff for the remarkable job he did in helping us get this tradition started.

    Along with Jeff, we all feel the time has come to take this tradition to the next level. Therefore, with the boost of our mammoth video board and new sound system at Jack Trice Stadium, Cyclone Nation will be called upon to self-lead the Cyclone! Power! cheer.
    So, when the Cyclones enter the field this season, fans should break into a chorus of Cyclone! Power! following these cues:

    • video board graphics displaying Cyclone! & Power! alternatively;
    • spirit squad, band and Cy leading the Cyclone! Power! cheer; and
    • the Cyclone sirens blaring.

    Other schools have traditional cheers, and this is ours. Again, whenever the Cyclone sirens blare, we’d like Cyclone Nation to respond loudly and proudly with Cyclone! Power!

    While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”

    Did that release say SIRENS?

    Re: No more Jeff Johnson lead 'CYCLONE POWER'

    I believe the Sirens have now been confirmed. Hopefully they are of the loud, old style civil defense variety. Hopefully they have worked out with the city of Ames to use them on gamedays.

    I'm sure if they are used like normal tornado sirens, there is some clause that says they cannot be used if there is sever weather withing X distance of the stadium...etc.

    Dear God, this just made me angry again. We still need to tar and feather the CF poster that was responsible.
