Jennert is a sophomore and from what I have seen he will be a good receiver. He should see the field this year and contribute quite a bit next year.

    Re: donnie jennert

I was going to start a thread on him as well. From what I have seen of him in the practice highlights and from Spring ball he has looked really good. He has great size, seems to have good hands and speed. I hope he get some PT this year and keeps maturing into a really good one his Junior and Senior years.

    Re: donnie jennert

He's gonna be a playmaker and make life easier for whoever the quarterback is. I expect him to see snaps in every game this year, his size reminds me of Blythe where you just put the ball in the back corner of the endzone and let him make a play on it. We have to remember that he is young and still developing, hes got 3 years left to prove his talent. (Horne, Jennert, West, Bundrage) We have hope at receiver finally.

    Re: donnie jennert

When he first got here he had the body and speed of Blythe. Wonder if he jsut does not have quite the body control that Blythe had. I remember when we got him he was kind of an under the radar type kid. Hopefully he turns it up this year.

I've kept an eye on the practice videos for him ever since I watched the Jacques Washington Media Day All Access video. He showed some real "attitude" in that. He looks to be almost unstoppable in the red zone.

Jennert's signature moment at Iowa State so far has been threatening to transfer via facebook (during Big 12 'missle crisis') before ever catching a pass. He may have Todd Blythe's body but that is where the similarities seem to end.

What say you, Austen Arnaud? Break the code and give us an honest assessment of Jennert?

I've heard he's incredibly cocky and full of himself. If true, that's another similarity to Blythe

The word has always been he's a little full of himself. He fully believes he has BCS level talent, not too mention he is young so what if he threatened to leave via Fbook. Many have left the program, he's still here working his butt off.

His signature moment would be last years Spring game when he outplayed everybody on the field, only to get a DUI later in the year.

    HA! dude was a goober.

The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.

His signature moment was a glorified scrimmage followed by an arrest? Okay, I'll defer to you!
