Sounds like McKay is visiting Marquette today.

    Mark Miller ‏@WisBBYearbook
Former Milw. Pulaski star Jameel McKay taking unofficial to Marquette today. McKay was MVP of City Conference as a senior a year ago.

"We embrace that challenge and what it presents to us. Im going to approach all 12 games this way: Were going to win them all. If we prepare and then go out and execute, were going to win all 12. Now how many are we going to end up with at the end of the year? I dont know, and youre right, I wont put a number on it."- Paul Rhoads on having the toughest schedule in the Big 12

Yep. Just saw that. Sucks, but I wasn't exactly impressed with his personality based on his tweets.

    Re: Recruit List (Online Version)

After Thomas and Morris, McKay was next on my own wish list. Oh well. Buzz is either really good at recruiting, or he's cheating. I guess Marquette being the "hometown team" doesn't hurt.

In 2013, at the SF position, Ejim will be a senior. Not to mention we still may have a chance with either DFS or Uthoff (both SFs). After that, Niang can supposedly flex to the #3. Possible freshman projected at the SF for 2013 might be Bo Zeigler, Hassan Martin, Martez Walker, or others.

Would have loved to have McKay, but we'll be ok.

If you're going to lose out on a good prospect like McKay, better now than later. I doubt Uthoff is coming to ISU so there is some more pressure now to get sign up DFS. Regarding Niang, I seriously doubt he'll play any 3 unless Fred is playing a zone. As you mention, the staff appears to be in decent shape with several good 2013 wings. I have been more concerned all along with getting at least one quality post player in the Gibson mold for the 2013 class. I am not sure if the staff is in great shape with any 2013 post players like Gibson at this point in time outside of possibly Kyle Washington.

Agree on Niang. We'll play 3 guards long before Niang plays the 3 position with any regularity. A guy like Matt Thomas would be a good fit for a 3rd guard position, in my opinion, since he rebounds well and is built solidly.

Losing McKay is disappointing, but it's a numbers game. With the competition we're up against, I've always figured getting 1 out of Thomas, Morris, Samuel, and McKay is expected, getting two would be fantastic, and getting zero would be disappointing. Morris and Thomas would be huge.

Fred has indicated before that Niang could play the 3. Time will tell if that happens or not...

At this point in time, I can't imagine that Ejim, Niang, and Gibson won't all be on the floor together at some point - as they will likely be our best/ most experienced players. Who plays the "3" is to be determined.

We really need a player in the 2013 class to replace Clyburn. There is no true slashing '3' on the team once he departs. Ejim may have developed into one by then...hope.

"The cyclones are looking to continue fortifying their upcoming classes with New York talent. While no visits are scheduled during the summer currently, they are going after Dustin Hogue who is playing JUCO. In addition, ISU is expecting for unofficials visits from Chris McCullough, Khadeen Carrington and Kyle Williams in the fall. There's a possibility of visits from Hassan Martin and Terrence Samuel."
