    Practice 12 and 13 Video

2011 Football Training Camp: Practice No. 12 and 13 - Iowa State University Athletics Official Web Site - www.CYCLONES.com - The home of Iowa State Cyclone Sports

Interesting formation in the Inside Runs video, looked like Duck, Leo and Woody in a HB/Fullback positions and QB and RB in a pistol type position.
Also liked what Bray had to say, sounds like depth here this year will be nice, we just need more of what we say at the end pressure, pressure, and pressure.....

Sure as heck didn't see a lot of Tiller in those vids...I realize its just a sample but man, he was scarce.

I continue to be impressed by the WR's. Even with the loss of Blanton, this unit as a whole seems to be vastly improved. #80 Coleman from UNO looks very good. I don't think I've seen him drop a ball in any of the videos. Are they planning to RS him? $ looking very good as well.

I think you're just seeing what you want to see? I see Tiller a lot in those videos. He's #11, correct? If so, he's in there just as much as the other QB's.

Money Reynolds has looked like a total beast though on these videos IMO. In a video last week he just completely ran over a DB, and he's just so physical with those "jump ball" throws too. I'm not so sure I'd want to be a 5'11" DB trying to tackle him.

I look for a HUGE season from him. And I still think Jennert can give us quite a bit too. He just has such great height and the great hands to go with it.

Not sure why you're saying that. What I WANT to see is three quality QB's fighting it out for the starting job. I admit that what I've seen of Jantz makes me think he will be that guy, but I think Tiller is a great Cyclone and will be very happy if he starts and plays well. I want to win...and I want the QB playing who most facilitates that. I was just surprised that they seemed to show a lot less of Tiller throwing than of Barnett and Jantz.

The more impressive part about that was Money reading what play to make, more so than him being a beast. The DB was asking for it when you look at his form. He was playing on his heels and just waiting to get knocked on his ***. I would be very surprised if he didn't get his *** chewed immediately after that play for not playing under his pads. To his credit Money read that very quickly and obliged him. Which to me is actually more exciting than having the power to run a guy over. A good read that leads to the right cut/stiff arm can lead you to a huge gain where lowering your shoulder and running through a guy typically gets you only another 2-3 yards because you're going to go down too or lose enough speed that the D can come help.

That play Money made against Texas last year was great. He just completely ran through a Texas tackler on the way to endzone.

He quit because of "family issues" and needed to be back home, or at least closer.

I thought Tiller had just as much facetime as the rest of the QBs. I think he threw a beautiful deep ball to #80 towards the end of the video. While the rest of the deep balls (by every QB) seemed to be slightly underthrown, the 1 by Tiller was right on the money.
I wish we could see more of Standard and Nealy. I think either of them will leapfrog Hollis and White first chance they get. Just a matter of what year to put them on the field. I am very high on Standard, and if we weren't so deep (bodywise) at RB I think he could be our #2 by season's end.

The first TD of the game? It's a tackle that needs to be broken. Nothing special. The guy was trailing the play and tried to arm-tackle around his waist while falling. It wasn't exactly running through someone.
