Really diappointed that Woods and Jensen are not concidered good enough to be running with the 2's. That means we only have 3 DL for game day.

If Simon makes it...and Rhoads said he had just one class that he needed a proctor for...than we are 2 deep at DT...Mcodonough and Rump backed up by Lang and Simon. That's better than what we generally have...and I got the impression that Woods and Jensen weren't there "yet". They may be ready by season's start.

What is Pompey's injury status. I know he was having some minor knee operation done, does anyone know when he gets back?

I heard they put TAM stickers on the tackling dummies.

Let my Fred's Posse Ride: Georges, Naz, Hogue, Bryce, Nader, Monte, Matt, and McKay.

Why would our team be giving a hoot about a Brazilian airline?

    Re: NOTEBOOK: Saturday scrimmage report

I wish that we would get some real information from the scrimmages, like who do what, what the QB stats were, etc. It would give us something to talk about besides Texas A&M

Tiller. According to CPR, there is no separation in the QB's. So, if that's the case Tiller and his "experience" should be the lead. But who knows....Barnett and Steele got the most reps yesterday with the 1's and 2's.

Yeah, the situation with Simon and Pompey is troublesome. I'm sure the staff was hoping both would be here, at least one for sure, but for neither of them has to hurt a LOT.

Best case scenario is that Simon gets his paperwork that he needs and shows up this week, and Pompey isn't out very long. Worst case is Simon never does make it to Ames, and Pompey misses the whole season with his injury. Having 3 DT's isn't going to cut it IMO.

Pompey is not on campus either? I know he had problems with his leg, but I would think he would have made it to campus.

He is on campus, not on the practice roster though because of the leg injury, but he IS on the team and in Ames.

    Re: NOTEBOOK: Saturday scrimmage report

I thought the quote concerning Jantz's swagger was sort of an indicator. Could be wrong. But the offense appears to be doing better. And a lot of the change is due to attitude. And Jantz was mentioned as a source of that new attitude.

    Re: NOTEBOOK: Saturday scrimmage report

So given the situation at DL it means everyone was right to be freaking out about signing DLinemen earlier this year :)
