    What does this even mean?

The ISU tailgating scene isn't exactly "dry". If you're worried about ISU becoming a place where lots of people get really drunk before football games, well, that's like worrying that Iowa might become covered in cornfields: we're already there and have been for awhile.

The AD should have a keg sitting outside his office right now.

What team have you been following? Iowa State games have been absolute all-out drunk-fest tailgate parties as long as I can remember!

Yeah they should sell beer in the stands. Everybody is sneaking it in or bringing in flasks anyway, might as well sell it and make some money off it, and it would save all our fans the trouble of smuggling booze into every game.

Re: Should ISU sell beer in the stands?

Every year Iowa State drags its feet on this they lose millions. I don't want to hear Pollard cry poverty when instant money is right in front of him.

I've seen more people go over-the-top drunk 10 minutes before kickoff because they slam their beers/shots and they don't want to lose their buzz during the game.

Not only will the university make a ton of money on beer sales, they will also sell more hot dogs, brats, popcorn, etc.

I think if you do it you have to start with serving it at Hilton first where you have smaller crowds and a more controlled environment. If all goes well with that experiment then try Jack Trice next. It's a lot easier to try it with about 14,000 fans first in an indoors environment than over 50,000 in an outdoors facility where a lot of them have already been drinking at tailgates for several hours prior.

Seems to me that the Big 12 payday is going away. I'm all for capturing every penny of revenue. Start selling beer.

Re: Should ISU sell beer in the stands?

I think it's something to think about to get some extra cash. Like others have stated on here, people bring in booze anyway. Last year at the Mizzou game I remember the usher took like 6 or 8 cans of beer and 2 gatorade water bottles full of alcohol and that was just the row in front of me.

Yes. Name the field after a major brewery for the money if we go cheap big east. Will the Conn game be bigger soon?
