Re: The Hoops Report puts ISU at #50

With the obvious exception of the technical errors, that is about the most accurate season outlook I have seen from a non-Iowa news source. Enough talent to make the tourney, but it all depends on how it comes together. We'll see.....

Another poorly written article, completely forgot about Tyrus.

Not sure how accurate this truly is, but it's interesting to be ranked higher than KSU (56) (not a surprise KSU would be sub-50 this season just unusual in recent years to be even close, let alone "above")

This line says it all: "Hoiberg must find a way to make his team jell." We have the talent to be in the dance. We need to come together as a team with the big question being point. Nice to have national writers take notice.

Weve got a pretty good football conference, and weve got a pretty good conference overall. Were still walking around with our heads held high and our chest out, about that. Paul Rhoads

Hence the main reason for the trip to Italy this month. My prediction is by the time this group returns to practice in Nov., team chemistry will not be an issue. Big Dance, here comes a storm warning!

Hoiberg is on his way to the big dance.

Looking forward to the season, can't say I watch Iowa State too much in the past but now I am all over it. With last years point guard from Tilton Aaron Law walking on it'll be really cool and I hope he gets some minutes. FYI, the Tilton School will be watching the games hoping for Aaron.

50 is great for a team that finished as horrible as we did. So excited for the conference season to start.

Re: The Hoops Report puts ISU at #50

Surprised no one mentioning the fact that they inked in Tavon Sledge as a starter. I thought that would generate some comments.

I for one think he could take over that role by the time conference play rolls around but I figure we will have Allen or McGee bringing the ball up to start the season.

"Freddie knows the game," Bird said. "I'm sure he picked up a lot of stuff over the years from different people. College is different from the NBA, but I'm sure he'll do a great job."
