Jared Gaither is a Chief.... LOVE IT

The Chiefs announced today the free agent signing of 69″, 340-pound offensive tackle Jared Gaither. Gaither, 25, played three seasons for Baltimore, starting at left tackle in 2008 and 2009 before missing all of last season with back problems.
When healthy, Gaither has been a quality left tackle and should give the Chiefs some more options along the offensive line.

You can call me a homer all you want. But the Chiefs could have a top five offense and top ten defense next year. They had the #1 rushing offense last year, it just got better adding Gaithier and McClain. Jones wore down as the season went on, adding McClain takes the load off Jones and keeps him fresh. Charles is getting better every year.

The team had two weaknesses. #1, Bowe was the only receiving threat. Now they draft Baldwin, sign Breaston, Urban is coming off the IR, and Moeaki and McCluster have a year under their belts now. #2 was moving the sticks on 3rd/4th and short. Adding Gaither and McClain changes that.

The defense was great last year, especially the first half of games. If the offense stays on the field longer, they are better by default. Not to mention the enter D is so young, and they have another year together and under Crennel. No where to go but UP!

they didn't do much to improve the D Line. Shaun Smith leaving will hurt. Greg is good, but can't be expected to play a lot

if he is healthy awesome, chances are he isn't though.

The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.

I heard Gilberry looks good on DL, the new signing is a crap shoot, worth the risk.

Jackson was a monster week one until he got hurt. It typically takes DL three years to break out, this is Jacksons year. Dorsey did the same thing last year in his third year. Gillberry is great at pass rushing which really isn't his job in the 3-4. But he added some weight this year so hes better against the run now too. Gregg is better than Ron Edwards. They also drafted Powe. Dude will be a monster NT in a few years. All he needs is better conditioning. Allen Bailey is another DE they drafted. Dude is built like a Greek God. They improved the DL. But I do agree, losing Smith was a loss. But if Jackson plays like he should this year its not as big, especially if Gillberrys overall game improves too.

They will, with Stanzi and Moeaki running the show.

Stanzi is not an NFL quarterback and unless Cassell gets injured has zero chance of playing for at least 3 years.

The Chiefs secondary is what saves them, they are young and already some of the best in the league. I'm not a Chiefs fan but they have placed themselves as a contender this year.
