    Sprint in Des Moines area

Ok I know there's been a bunch of cell phone service threads but I couldn't find one related to Sprint. Can anyone give any feedback of quality of service in and around Des Moines area? Data and voice preferably. Thanks CF.

Had verizon for 8 years, switched to sprint 2 months ago. i'll never look back. Never had a problem in Des Moines. the unlimited data tops any other competitior. We got Evos and I like it better than the I-phone.

How are your data speeds, if you happen to know?

Sprint is very good on interstates and cities, a little dicy in the sticks.

Re: Sprint in Des Moines area

I've had Sprint for a little over a year now. Freaking awesome, went from AT&T and definitely not looking back. DSM area had perfect coverage and the only place where I didn't have a sprint signal was in Tama but I was roaming, but with my plan I get 500min/text/mb roaming included.

This. Along all major roads and cities it's tops. Roaming if you get OTBT.

No matter what, I could NEVER cheer for Dirt and Urine.

I've had Sprint in the Des Moines area for over 12 years and the quality of service is great. Never have had a problem. We've traveled all over the US and get excellent coverage and service 99% of the time. If we are RVing in the boonies then it gets a bit spotty, but surprisingly enough even out in some boonies I can get great service.

I have had Sprint for 8+ years and never had a problem. Plus I hear they just added a 4G tower in Ames. Hopefully DSM gets some 4G soon!

Switched from Verizon 3 years ago and couldn't be happier. I travel from SE Iowa to Northern MN and experience less dropped calls than I did on Verizon. I also traveled 4700 miles on a west coast trip this summer and had great service except thru the no man's land in Nevada.

    I wouldn't go that far

I've had it for about 3 years now in the area, and for the most part it does a good job... although there will be areas where the data portion is completely worthless (my office for example)

Re: Sprint in Des Moines area

Thanks guys. I do have to admit to being a little surprised at all the positive reviews. Didn't realize Sprint worked so well around here. I was afraid my only options were Verizon and USCC.

We've had Sprint for almost 5 years and it has been great, especially compared to AT&T. Depending on where you work check out discounts you might be eligible to receive. We get a 27% monthly discount!
