Tiger started out real good and after he put a tee shot in the drink on a par 3 the wheels fell off

I am watching this while working online. Can we please watch a group of golfers who are playing well?

    Tiger looks awful.

Tiger... time to retire bud. Your career is OVER!!! You took your personal life, your career, poured gasoline all over it, and then took a match to it. Jack Nicklaus is at home right now throwing himself a party because Tiger is NEVER going to catch him for the most major wins. NEVER!!

So......I take it you're a big Tiger Woods fan?

Seriously though, you're talking about Tiger Woods here and he's only 35 years old. Maybe he won't catch Jack, but it's a little early to say his career is over.

Yeah. In the other thread about Tiger some of his fans irritated me to the point where I am now anti-Tiger. The guy never used to bother me but now I enjoy watching his futility. Especially with some of the comments he makes to the media like the other day when he muttered "That is why you guys write and I play golf". Those kind of comments are ridiculous when you go +10 in your last 13 holes. It just hasn't sunk into Eldrick's head that "Tiger" is gone.

Tiger is +7, and so far 14 shots behind leader. Tied for 93rd.

He's gonna have to golf his butt off tomorrow if he hopes to make the cut. When was the last time he didn't make the cut for a Major? I know he missed a cut last year, but it wasn't a major.

If Tiger is gone so is the PGA so it doesn't much matter.

    Re: PGA Championship Thread

I haven't had a chance to read through the other Tiger thread, but I think it's hard to argue with the fact that the PGA is much more entertaining to follow when Tiger is playing and especially when he's in contention.

I'm also one to believe Tiger will be back. Golf is his life and always has been. Sadly, he doesn't have much left in his life outside of golf, but he'll eventually get his confidence back one day and when he does, it'll be fun to watch again. It'll probably happen once he gets some steady action again so he's not always thinking about getting laid.....that can really mess with a dude's mind.

The PGA Tour can survive without Tiger. There are plenty of young players with a ton of talent that have kept golf very interesting while Tiger was out. I never missed the guy at all.

You are correct. He lives in Madison a few miles away from me. My co-worker belongs to the golf club that his house is located on.

Ask fringe golf fans if they know who Rory is. Now ask if they know who Tiger or Phil is. No one on the Tour has the pull of those two. The PGA goes as Tiger goes. There's a reason ratings shoot up when he's in contention on Sunday and ratings have sucked over the past couple years. You aren't the fan the PGA needs. They need the fringe fans.

    Re: PGA Championship Thread

Tiger is saying what he has to say to the media, but it is all baloney. No way you show up at a major and expect to win it with your buddy on your bag. He also is not going to play in NC this year to help make the fedex cup. He is going through the motions and it shows.
