Him and Niang talk all the time on twitter. I don't like that he's going to wait until the spring period though, is Fred willing to wait that long?

I can't believe that he didn't mention Niang in his recruitment. What a slap in the face to Georges...

    Oh, yeah!!!!

I like that we're still a big player, at least.

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.
Make this one for the ages!

Negus, please: come to Iowa State.

Who would you all consider to be the third-best recruiter on ISU's staff? Whether it's Hoiberg, Otz, or Abdelmassih, I imagine we have one of the best third-best recruiters in the country.

Wait till another recruit is ready to commit and then tell them both that the first one gets the scholarship. Or you go ahead and over-sign and expect someone to leave (seemed to work last time.

    Wrong, they never did oversign.

It appeared at one point there were more committed players than schollies available but the staff knew that McKnight and/or Cook would not be on this season's roster.

Re: Basketball Recruiting: Webster-Chan high on Cyclones

NWC and Cleananthony Early are similar players both wings, maybe we would wait to spring for one. Bernardi and SDW are both more shooters, more 2s. Would we accept commits from either right now or wait for NWC to visit first?

Tis true. They didn't over sign, just had more committed (I didn't think about the difference until after you pointed that out).

It would be nice to have our 2012 class completed this early!

ďI told you, I donít care if youíre black or white. I donít care if youíre rich or poor. I donít care where you come from, whether itís Texas, Florida, California, or right here in the state of Iowa, I donít care about any of thatÖ But what I did care about is moving forward from that day on, that we were one team." -Paul Rhoads

If CW is right about our starting 5 I don't think a third player will be enough to fill our 2012 class. If Ejim starts at the 4 my guess is we'll lose Railey or Gibson. Not that either expected to start right away but the lack of available minutes for our bigs may send one of them packing.

Re: Basketball Recruiting: Webster-Chan high on Cyclones

We are in good shape - it seems. We can evaluate, get visits, and see what happens with current players. I'm not sure I can be disappointed in any of the following: Early, Hawkins, SDW, NWC, Ray Lee, or Bernardi. I won't be crazy excited if we land Bernardi, but I also won't be upset.

Nto every player transfers at the first sign of adversity. Jeez.... I think we can wait for the spring as long as we get the first two (Niang and Okoro) signed in the early period. That is only one scholly to fill, and I think we can wait to get the right guy.
