Georges mentioned in ESPN Breakout Perfomers of July Aritcle

Not shocked he made this list. I like the description too, High IQ, Blue Collar, and a winner.

I liked the description, except for this part: "Although the Iowa State commit may not pass the eye test with flying colors..."

Huh? For a 17/18 year old kid, I was very impressed with his build. He has a better foundation to build on than many incoming college freshmen.

Pretty much sums him up in this quote.

The rest of the country now knows what Iowa State and a handful of other programs knew all along -- this kid is a winner who was grossly undervalued

That video is sweet Georges is a beast.

"Mike LaPlante: BABC won as many games as anyone this summer, and Georges Niang (Methuen, Mass./The Tilton School) was a major factor. He is the ultimate lunch-pail guy who goes about his business without a lot of fanfare, while consistently outplaying higher-rated opponents. Although the Iowa State commit may not pass the eye test with flying colors, he is a deceptive athlete who understands how to maximize his abilities and is as tough as they come in the low post. I love his high basketball IQ and the fact that he is obsessed with winning. The rest of the country now knows what Iowa State and a handful of other programs knew all along -- this kid is a winner who was grossly undervalued. "

    I like this part.

Yeah no kidding. At 230 and at that age, the kid has plenty of time to do whatever is needed with his body and skillset.

I think this answers the question of whether he'll be in ESPN's top 100 come Wednesday.

I love how crafty he is in the post. Reminds me of larger Kenny Pratt with better range. He is very strong down low and gets great angles making it almost impossible to block his shot. Can't wait to see him play next year.

Another article via scout.com praising Georges.

Looks like he'll find his way in to their rankings as well.
