    Ja'Quarius Daniels to WR

    Just announced via Twitter.

I thought TE might have been a better fit, but if he has the speed for WR, he could turn into a great weapon out there.

    That didn't take long.

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”

    Re: Ja'Quarius Daniels to WR

He might be able to work on his speed.

IIRC he came from a very small high school where he was the only player with D-1 potential. His work with Yancy may allow him to increase his quickness.

I was hoping for a move to the other side of the ball. He could be a scary LB or safety.

If he could turn into a Marvin McNutt/Kerry Meier type he could help us out immensely.

I think he came from a decent sized high school but they were absolutely terrible. He was the best athlete, so they put him at QB so he had the ball in his hands every play.

I think we all knew he would switch positions, we just did not no where.

I'm happy they moved him sooner rather than later. The kid is a great athlete and will help us down the line.

This is a great move. A big, athletic, physical WR who used to play QB. Like a cross between Marquis Hamilton and Austin Flynn. Lots to like here.

    Re: Ja'Quarius Daniels to WR

You obviously can't tell much from the limited action we see on the videos from practice, but he looked like he had A LOT of work to do to have a chance at QB, from what I saw. Glad to see this move.

Great move! He will grow into the TE/Flex spot!

    Cool, good luck to Ja'Quarius!

Definitely Marquis Hamilton-esque, IMO, probably not a deep threat....

I think this is a very probably scenario.

He can work on his hands and route running during his redshirt season. The staff should get a good eye-full of him this year. Then they can decide if he is going to beef up to put his hand on the ground or stay out in the flex.

Either way I think it's a good move for him. Get that athlete on the field.

    Re: Ja'Quarius Daniels to WR

I like it. His video from the 1st day of practice showed him struggling with some of the footwork drills. He was "hopping" as he navigated the pocket. I would guess he would correct that easily enough if he were to stay at QB, but he has much more potential at another position. Let's face it, we aren't going to stop bringing in QBs every year, and J'Apostrophe would be facing an uphill battle to see the field.

I had actually hoped the staff would move either Daniels or Lemke or both to DE. I'm glad they at least moved Lemke there. I was just reading CWs Monday musings where he said his first thought about the Bevins commit, was him and Irving forming a 6-7, 6-5 DE tandem down the line. That was my thought when they recruited Irving, Lemke and Daniels. Wouldn't it be great to have some DEs with size AND speed?

Judging from the videos, Lemke has a long way to go before he'll play. He's a very skinny-looking 6-4. But if he can add the weight and keep the speed, he might just rival Berryman for our fastest DE ever.
