    Michigan Football

    Some interesting Michigan nuggets...

    - Michigan has not won a game since Bo (former coach) died (just heard that on Jon's show from Zabel, believe it or not)

    - Michigan and ND have a combined 0-8 losing streak. They are currently #1 and #2 as far as career winning %'s.

    - It is very conceivable that Michigan could start 0-4 (ND and Penn State next 2 games). All of which would be witnessed by the Big House faithful.

    - Their first road game comes in Week 5, at Northwestern. I'll be they are pining for a W.

Re: More losses, ND or Michigan?

ND, because they're starting a freshman QB (Henne will be back for Michigan) and their schedule is tougher.

You started this just before mine (similar topic)...so I'll merge my post into yours.

ND easy they have a great shot to start out 1-7 or 1-8. Michigan has the luxury of playing in the Big 10.

    Re: Funny Notre Dame/Michigan column

Great article, I like how they don't mention Iowa State as one of the 0-2 teams this season. Probably did us a favor by doing that.

I hate the Michigan/ND game because

one of them will have to win. I have lived next to Ann Arbor for over 30 years and the arrogance has been suffocating. This year has been a ray of hope as the local news coverage is ballistic. No one would know that Michigan State has won two games or even exists. It also appears that football is not played anywhere else in the country. Fortunately the Tigers have started winning a few more games so that there is something to read in the sports section.

    Michigan or Notre Dame?

Who would you rather see get their first win of the season? Michigan or Notre Dame?

Personally I wish they could both lose but because that isnt possible I will pick Michigan to win.

I know we are 0-2 and although it is dissapointing we were not expecting to many exciting things in Ames this year. But to be Nationally ranked and to have App St come in and do a Mexican hat dance on your championship hopes is more dissapointing than what we are going through. I feel sorry for these guys. Wait, no i dont.

Michigan will win this game, ND is even more pathetic than they are this year. I have a feeling Charlie's days are numbered in South Bend.

    Re: Michigan or Notre Dame?

Michigan is in the same sort of situation that we are in -- we've got the starters, but no longer have the will. Notre Dame has Clausen going for them.. but that's about it. Even without Henne, Michigan will get their first win of the season vs. Notre Dame.

Michigan... because well, ND is ND.
