    Ames Tribune covers ISU football

Bobby LaGesse over at the Ames Trib is putting out a lot of good content on the football team.

I thought this was a very good article on the running backs with insights on recruiting and evaluation.

I really liked this article: Go Cyclones - Building a playmaker

"Rhoads openly says the 2011 Cyclones should be his best team yet. And he believes that is due, in large part, to ISU’s improved speed and agility."

I've been reading these as well. Pretty good articles.

Thanks for the links. This is all good stuff.

Anyone else notice how little Barnett looks in the picture in the QB development story? I think a lot of it is in the angle, but I think it also shows what a difference a few years in a college program have in making a player physically mature.

Rhoads did say that this was most likely his best team yet, but tempered expectations in my eyes because he said that it was also one of the most difficult schedules yet.

I think its pretty tough to best last years schedule, the scary thing is looking ahead doesn't get any easier. Right now you've got Texas and Mizzou in transition years, CPR and Co really have their work cut our for them.

Yeah but he also said he wanted to get away from hard games early in the season.
