New Depth chart(great news for OLine)

One glaring point when looking at the newest Depth Chart, I love the amount of young kids on it. That show this will continue to be a strength for this team in the coming years, dika, loth, Graham(mullet boy), Farniok, Gannon are all RS fresh, Lichtenburg and Tuftee RS sophomores, very encourage that we may have a stable of draft picks moving forward.....

Can't wait for the "or" to be removed from the QB line. Getting really excited for season.

Re: New Depth chart(great news for OLine)

Good sign to see Farniok move up to starting Center (I don't believe he was there on the last depth chart)...

Also interesting to see that the MLB spot is still an open battle...

Any other changes that people recognize??

Isn't this the same depth chart that was posted a couple of days ago? I don't see anything different.

remember, this is indeed a message board. i for one, welcome any coherent thoughts on football related material in this dead time. why not discuss. would you rather we all keep it to ourselves and have a dead board like so many other universities.

things over time will of course be hashed and rehashed. not everyone is on these boards every day to sift through every thread in order to make sure they are not going over the same stuff others have mentioned.

back to the OP's thoughts. i completely agree, its not only nice to see that these young guys have earned their starting spots over some older guys, but that the coaches seem to be very high on them. i believe there were some positive comments about their overall toughness and aggression during spring ball if i recall. had they not said that, i would have been a little more worried about this youth.

Good youth and depth on the offensive line is very important and I think the coaches and players have made it one of our strongest positions for years to come.

Well, either that, or it illustrates how many upperclassmen aren't here. Klerekoper, Baysinger and (above all) Haughton might have made it look a bit different.

After all, all that depth chart essentially is is simply a list of all the returning scholarship offensive linemen. I like some of these guys (and the true freshmen), but some of the ways they are slotted here don't look the most comfortable.

That said, I'll look forward to the returning starters stepping up their games, and the new guys proving they are ready. Remember, last year's group took a while to mesh after the loss of Stephens and Haughton. Now they have to work through the losses of Alvarez and Lamaak, practically the exact same situation.
