    ***Smoker Friday/Friday Beer Thread***

Decided today would be a wonderful day to fire up the smoker as well as a beer before noon.

Grain Belt Tall boys FTW! IMHO Grain Belt tastes much better when it's not light-struck in clear bottles.

What's all on the smoker? I have dang near the same one, did 20# of bacon a few weeks ago, my wife is still griping about the pork fat stain on the concrete (had to bump up the temp at the end to hit temp target and not be late for something, rendered out too much fat).

I got a couple Iowa Chops, a Boston Butt for pulled pork, and some single ribs.

I hear you on the wife complaining, I generally fire mine up big time when the wife is out of town!

I'm gonna be slumming it with Keystones this weekend. I'm usually a stout, porter or scotch ale type of guy, but we're getting together with my wife's college friends for a canoe trip on the Maquoketa. The Keystone thing is a bit of a tradition from many years ago.

Target has Saint Louis style spare ribs for $1.99/lb. I bought 6 racks and plan on smoking them up this weekend.

They say country music speaks to the heart. Unfortunately, it has to go through your ears to get there.

At first glance, your Grain Belt looked like a Four Loko. Grain Belt goes much better with smoking.

I like your style. By chance, are you wearing the sweet helmet in your avatar as well?

Also I am having a cigar at the same time, a Patel Bros. Madura. Great smoke for under five bucks at Tobacco Outlet

nwiafan, where did you find those Premo cans? I'm going to need some canned beer for my tubing excursion tomorrow, and Grain Belt sounds delicious.

Why does everyone like Grain Belt so much? I guess I'm not a huge fan, although maybe I should try it again.

For me, Grain Belt is one of those time and place beers. When I drink Grain Belt it invokes the feeling of sitting on a boat on lake, and when you are instead sitting on a lawn chair in sweltering heat that is a nice thought to conjure up.
