From what I can tell, Georges has the personality, attitude, and skill set that will make him a fan favorite for the Clones.

Very excited to see this guy develop as a Clone.

Can't wait to see this guy in an ISU uniform...any idea on what schools have contacted him since the Peach Jam?

The more I see and hear this kid, the more excited I get. He could be a Cyclone Hall of Famer! Great attitude and post skills that we have never seen in a freshman player - and he still has a year of high school ball to play.

I just hope he is serious about being "firmly" committed.
He is going to have a lot of big fish in his ear, tempting him and telling him what he wants to hear.

I guess leaving for greener pastures is frowned upon....if he would've stayed he wouldn't be where is today

great music in that highlight film- I like that he takes the dunk instead of dishing to a waiting teammate under the basket- we want a killer.

Re: No worries, Georges Niang is a Cyclone

Wow, I have never seen a high school kid use either hand like he can. I'm very excited that he will be coming to Ames. I give Fred a lot of credit for going out before everyone else and knocking on the door. This guy is humble, plays with a passion, and is only going to get better. The future is looking bright!

He finishes better around the hoop, with both hands, than any player in recent memory. I love to see those baby hooks dropping from both sides of the rim.

Great to hear. Maybe he can convince his good buddy Nerlens Noel to come here also!

Re: No worries, Georges Niang is a Cyclone

This is what gets me excited about not just 2011 but 2012 and beyond. If there are no defections just for 2012 well have a team of the following (does not indicate who'll start):

    PG: McGee, Sledge, Lucious
    SG: Babb, Okoro
    SF: Ejim, Clyburn
    PF: White, Gibson, Niang
    C: Booker, Railey

And we have one more scholly to give out.

Re: No worries, Georges Niang is a Cyclone

After watching Gibson play in the Capital City League, he is at least 2 years away from giving us quality minutes. However, I do love his big frame and his left hand. He had a very difficult time playing post defense against undersize players in the CCL. I already think Niang is more college ready, despite giving up several inches.

I watch that video and see Greg Brunner (which, IMHO is a good thing).
