    ISU offers Jaylen Brantley

Read it from Niang's Twitter. Had a big game in the Peach Jam championship. 24 pts I believe. Go get em!

    Enjoy.

He and Niang were probably the two most productive players on that team. He looked like a solid ball handler and a great shooter.

Niang is probably going to sell ISU hard to him. Niang is already a good Cyclone with his enthusiasm.

Good article mentioning both Brantley and Niang.

This kid is very exciting to watch play. If you watched the game on ESPNU Friday, you could see Niang and Brantley were the most efficient players for BABC.

That being said, its only 1 game. But, Brantley lead the tournament in scoring!

He shows great flashes of elite play, and is by far the best prospect, but that doesn't always translate on the stat sheet. Did you watch the game? Noel would do something great, and then the announcers would talk about him for 5 minutes while other players grabbed boards and scored points.

I couldn't agree more. Don't get me wrong, the kid has some huge upside, but thought he would be a little more polsihed on the offensive end. He is already an excellent defender, with a great ability to block people with his raw athleticism and long arms.

Yeah, I watched the game. I noticed the 17 points, 10 boards and 6 blocks to follow up his triple double performance from the game prior (12 pts/10 boards/11 blocks).

If that isn't productive, I'm not really sure what is.

    Re: ISU offers Jaylen Brantley

Color me surprised. As far as point guard prospects go, I didn't think Brantley was even on our radar. Anybody have any info about any other offers he has?

I hate to be the guy that judges talent based off of who else is interested but his size is also a question mark in my book. How many undersized guards do we need? I also have questions about his ability to defend at a high level.

That is what I was thinking. Noel had multiple triple doubles in the Peach Jam. Hard to be much more productive...

I think Mizzou offered as well shortly before or after us. Other than that, don't know.

    Enjoy.

    Agreed.

Not only is he being productive, this kid has played almost every minute of an 80 game schedule!

I guess there would be sometimes when playing such a grueling amount of minutes that I might appear to be a bit tired. This young man can do anything he wants when he wants to.

    Just my opinion of course.

Sounds like Lousville is his #1 choice and Noel does not mention ISU when he talkes about recruiting either.
