    Ben Revere. Wow.

This guy has been freaking amazing since he has been in the majors this year. Diving catches, being a catalyst, and now somersaults on the way to third on a triple.

and OPS of .600 isn't exactly "freaking amazing" it is pretty horrible.

The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.

He's been a spark plug for the Twins ever since he was called up. You have to watch the Twins to know that. He isn't going to be a great player but, he is one of the key reasons the Twins are hot.

You have to be hitting the Twinkie kool-aid pretty hard to say that a lead off hitter with a .311 OBP has been a sparkplug. At this point in his career, Revere is nothing more than Carlos Gomez. He's really freakin' fast. But hitting? Not so much.

I am not saying in a hitting sense. His energy,IMO, has been contagious to the team to keep battling back into the Central race.

His biggest contribution might be the number of runs that he has saved by running down balls in center field. I wouldn't trade his defense for a .400 OBP.

His defense is great, but to have the opportunity to have a .400 OBP guy and turn it down would be crazy.

    Re: Ben Revere. Wow.

I understand that his stats arent great, and he probably isnt quite ready to be in the bigs full time, but give the guy a break. He really has been great for the twins this year. It will be niice to get Denard back, but Revere has earned his spot in the outfield rotation.

Revere is a major league talent. Much better all around player than Gomez. The problem wih Ben is he is another Twins CF with no power.
