Just because she's a millionare means she should have more taken from her?
On a side note, here's a short breakdown of Mulkey's contract that I found:

    Annual Salary: $1 million

    Total Salary: $10 million

    Contract Length: 10 years

    Deal Signed In: 2007

    That's from April 2010.

"Mulkey expressed displeasure after her top-seeded team was put in the same bracket with Texas A&M, a Big 12 foe it had faced three times already last season. The Aggies beat Baylor on their way to the national title."

There weren't many people in the Big 12, or those that like the Big 12 or even the sport of women's basketball, that didn't make a comment about A&M and Baylor having to face off. Most believe they both had a legitimate chance and deserved to be in the Final Four. I applaud Kim Mulkey for saying something that she, along with many others, believes was unfair. I know that the coaches aren't supposed to make such comments (being politicially correct), especially about refs as Fennelly mentions frequently in post-game interviews, but I'm glad she spoke out.

Bad brackets happen. This is not as bad as when ISU mens team, which deserved a #1 seed in 2000, got wedged into the same bracket as the overall #1 MSU. That was a worse jobbing by far.

I'm not going to compare bad pairings with bad pairings. And yes, bad brackets happen. I'm just saying I'm glad Mulkey said something about it. Sometimes too many just sit by and let it happen while pretending it's okay.

    Re: NCAA Scolds Mulkey

My point was, the standard reprimand for a coach in Div 1, should be relevant to their salary/income, not just the same for everyone. Joe Blow coach of a mid major that makes 50,000 a year wouldn't dare say a word because their per diem would be a huge impact to their budget. Mulkey can smirk it off.

While I agree that Baylor/A&M seeding was bad, and I wasn't happy about it for the Big 12, Gary Blair handled it with much more class and grace and still made his point. He basically said, "it's a real shame that Baylor isn't in the final four, they deserved to be in it." Other coaches and media made the point for her, she didn't have to.

Baylor lost. They had their opportunity to win and be there.

Look at how classy BF was about being in UConn's bracket. If you want to win, you have to play the best.
