What recruit(s) will make the biggest impact?

Out of all the recruits and new faces we have on the team this season who do you all think will make the biggest impact?

My first guess will be Steele Jantz when he takes over the starting spot. Others who will make a splash this year are going to be WR Aaron Horne, LB Jevohn Miller, WR Quenton Bundrage, DT Quinton Pompey, and DT Henry Simon

    Lampkin on special teams.

Would like to see Pompey get some reps too if his knee is healthy.

Nice question, Hayes. Don't ever ****in' do it again!

I'll go with Aaron Horne as my numero uno.

If we're talking about making an impact this year... that's easy...

    Offense: Horne
    Defense: Miller

If we're talking who will make the most impact in their entire career here....

    Sam Richardson

Re: What recruit(s) will make the biggest impact?

I think Bundrage and Lampkin will make the most impact in terms of incoming freshmen.

If Jantz is the starter, he and Horne will be a deadly combo

How much of a shot does Miller have to start at LB, after Klein and Knott?

This exactly. It could be a tossup between Horne and Jantz on offense I think though.

As for career on offense, Rich. On defense, toss up between Miller and Irving I think.. Miller might edge him out though.

Am I the only one that thinks Bundrage won't get much PT this year, if any at all? I think our WR Corps is solid right now and just don't see him coming him right away and taking a spot away from the others especially with Horne coming in.

Yes. And if there is an injury he will be starting. He is already our third best LB IMO.

He's going to have to. The only other big linebacker is MT. Other than that we have a bunch of small linebackers. I know it isn't real inspiring to say, but the odds of Knott and Klein making it through the year without something sidelining them are small. Seeley better get himself ready too because he will have a huge opportunity to play right away if he's not needed.

I don't think he'll play much either but it won't be because of Horne I don't think. I think Bundrage is more of an X receiver working by himself and in a lot of intermediate and deep routes while Horne is more of a Y working on various screens and short stuff. That would place Bundrage behind Money and Jennert as well as other guys. I think there's a lot of flexibility in our WRs and a lot of the guys will line up all over but I think guys like West, Horne and Lampkin will spend the vast majority of their time in the slot and Bundrage will be on the outside, by himself a lot. Now that Austen is on the board we will probably get a lot more info (not to mention factual info) on this type of thing. I am just speculating.
