    Mushrooms

Alright so i'm mowing my yard, and i start to notice some mushrooms in the yard, so my question is,

    1. is this because of the humidity?
    2. if it isn't that, is there anyway i can get rid of them (fertilizer, chemicals)

    Thanks for any help

    Re: Mushrooms

I'm no expert but I talked to a friend with a Horticulture degree and she said yes it is from the moisture and don't worry about them. I just mow over them and if the mower doesn't get them, I just kick them over.

Use your brain! Capture them and drive them several miles into the woods and release them.

Mushrooms.......all natural and organic -- take them down to the nearest Whole Foods and sell them to as many tree huggers as possible.

Eating organic and being a tree hugger are not synonymous. Eating organic is about eating healthy. I eat organic and am as far from a tree hugger as anyone you would meet.

I thought eating organic was about spending extra money on food.

    Re: Mushrooms

Any dead tree stumps in the area? They are usually from decaying roots or organic material below the surface. Also, yes the high humidity and moisture helps them grow. Other than beings somewhat unsightly they cause no problems to anything. Just leave them or mow them off.
