Is is me or has Railey's stats been pretty disappointing? He is usually the tallest guy on the court and his number are not that great. When I went he got pushed around, played lazy, and didn't have the best attitude. Hope all that stops when the real season starts or he won't be much of a contributor.

How does this differ from any of last season?

I am surprised that Sledge has 34 points and only 4 assists.

Sledge only had 4 assists cause he was a ball hog yesterday and trying to do everything himself. Can't blame him though cause after Ejim left the game 5 minutes in he was pretty much by himself.

I know it's only the CCL and all, but does anyone remember our players doing THIS well this often in the league? I swear, every week at least one guy has at least 40 points, many others in the 30s, double doubles, even triple doubles, etc..

I was thinking the same thing. I know the stats in the league are heavily inflated, but you can compare them to past performances in this same league. Does anyone know how these guys compare? Seems impressive to me regardless.

I've wondered, too. I couldn't tell anyone what last year's stats looked like, or the year before, or any of that. This seems pretty extreme every single night.

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.
Make this one for the ages!

From the one game I've seen him, Railey looked improved - good footwork, decent passing and post moves.

I have to think the ISU coaches gave instructions to all their guys and said something like: work on this part of your game, have fun, and above all, don't get injured! I'm not worried about Jordan's lack of big numbers.

Right. I don't remember them doing THIS well. Not to mention, 40 points in the past was pretty much unheard of if I remember correctly. If I remember too, John Neal held the single game scoring record in the league until this year. He had 44 or 45 in a game in maybe 2003, 2004, or 2005 when he couldn't miss a three pointer? I'm pretty sure two or three guys broke it in one series of games the other week.

It's kind of ridiculous they are doing THIS well even if it's the CCL. We should dig up some threads from last summer to see stats.

Yes. I remember a huge write-up in the paper about Shawn Taggart scoring 50 points, and people getting excited because Adam (Edit: Shawn) Haluska would hit ten 3-pointers a game and Bubu was the tournament MVP.

But as a whole, I think your right, it does look like we are more dominant, which we should be. Blalock and Stinson were on a whole other level in this league than the opposition, while most of Gmac's guys were comparable to the opposition. Looks like the Cyclones are a step above the rest again.

Re: *** YMCA CCL stats from 7-10***

What are the odds Sledge lands the starting PG spot? Or at least finishes our NCAA Tournament run there?

    Sledge, Allen, Christopherson, Ejim, White
    McGee, Babb, Booker, Railey.

Sounds like a great rotation to me. But really outside or White and Allen, the first three reserves I listed have just as good of a chance as anyone else to start. I can say this is the first time I've ever been so excited about BBall, especially with football about to start.
