    Used Golf Irons

No, I'm not offering to sell you a slightly used set of irons for more than a new set, although that thread got me thinking.

I've been casually shopping for irons for some time, and I recently found this website:

Used Golf Clubs, Pre-Owned Drivers, Irons, Putters, Wedges: Callaway Golf Pre-Owned

The clubs will be legitimate, wouldn't have to worry about that. My question is, when I go choose a set of irons, it gives me the option to adjust the length of the clubs from standard. Obviously I can understand cutting them off shorter than standard, but it also gives me the option to add inches to the length (which I would need to do.) The clubs are used, so there must be a process to splice the club lengths? It only costs $4/inch or something like that, so they're definitely not putting on brand new shafts. Has anyone had any experience with this process? Is it durable?

Please don't lecture me on getting custom fitted.

It works, did that for my irons, they are plenty durable. Sodder on another inch of club then regrip.

You shouldn't have any issues. Happens a lot.

    Done a lot.

They are, most likely, adding in shaft extentions; they take off the old grip, add the extention(s), and regrip.

Easy way to tell is taking your static measurements. How tall are you? What is your wrist to floor? It isn't an exact science but it's as close as you can get without getting fit.

    This chart will help.
