    Common Cold

Okay cyclone fans. I woke up today feeling like you know what. The combination of catching a cold and drinking beer last night did me in the this morning. Unless I'm on my death bed, you can rest assured I'll be tailgating all day and at the game tonight. I will probably forego most to all of the alcohol intake to stop dehydrating my body, but does anyone have any other tips to get over or minimize cold effects?

Orange Juice with a hefty portion of Grey Goose.

    Re: Common Cold

I've found Alka-Seltzer (for colds, not the original) can work surprisingly well. If you've still got a headache an hour before the game, pop about six Advil. (or three an hour before the game, three at halftime)

That, and intake about a gallon of water between now and kickoff

    Good luck.

    Re: Common Cold

Might not help now, but I used to have 1 or 2 colds every year. I have not had a cold in about five years. My doctor recommended that I gargle with 1/2 water, 1/2 peroxide, and that has done the trick. A little gross and foamy at first, but living without a cold for years is well worth it.

DO you do this when you have a cold or just on a regular basis?

Twice a day. Definitely want to brush afterwards, but it pretty much kills everything in your mouth. I've had a couple times where I felt like I was getting a cold, and gargled really well with that stuff, and it never comes around.

At my 56 years of age I agree, only make in industrial strength Form! Drink large amounts early in day and keep it up. Sun shine and tailgating are required as well. Add cranberry juice to Grey Goose to prevent dehydration if that should be a concern..........frankly it shouldn't! Go Clones.

    Re: Common Cold

If you are able to take it in the first day or so, airborne tablets really help. They are effervescent tablets with mega doses of vitamins C,E,A,B etc.
