That could work because it just looks like a classic ballpark and doesn't scream Yankees, at least to me. I think going with a stadium is cool.

If you are a fan of any sports team I'd say just put up anything you wish to...or find somebody who could enlarge any stadium of your choice. Personally, I would like to get an enlarged this photo which is also one of the screen savers from cyclones.com.

Hopefully when abc comes back to jts this fall they take some good pictures of the stadium and the scoreboard.

As for your man cave, pick a theme and go all out! Find pictures and lights and signs and stuff to hang on the walls.

I collect old beer advertising (Hamm's, Grain Belt, Storz, etc. I put up brown paneling to give it that "old dark bar" look. Our main basement room we are thinking of doing like a golf clubhouse with brown & sage green paint colors, wood wainscotting on the walls, etc.

I have kept over a decades worth of ISU football and basketball ticket stubs that I'd like to put on my wall somehow, someday.

    Re: man-cave wall ideas!

First post ever so hopefully this goes well. I have a wall dedicated to ISU wall in my man cave with a tribute to all of the ISU logos from the past. All are homemade sandblasted mirrors, which sounds a lot harder to make than they actually are. Seeing the old logos, like the marching Cy brings back a lot of memories.

    Re: man-cave wall ideas!

Will have to take a rain check on the photo.... Cell phone / camera took a swim this weekend. Found out that I phones are allergic to water! Also full disclosure, still have to do the I-State mirror. Going for a larger rectangle center piece with that one. Good fall / winter project.

If you are looking for an inexpensive option you can't go wrong with:

Iowa State Cyclones Flag Premium 3'x5' Banner Gift

$19 including shipping for a 3 ft. x 5 ft. Iowa State banner. I ordered one myself.

    Re: man-cave wall ideas!

Not a problem on the rain check... But, I will be expecting that image sometime!

Eventually when we finish our basement I'm going to get the man-cave feel into it with various memorabilia from the college days; the twister towels, cyclone alley props, etc...

The wall mural idea is excellent if you can get an image of Jack Trice like above. There are a few online places that you could get a 12'x8' for under a grand, otherwise check with some local printers and they might be able to do it even cheaper. There is also software to do it yourself (YottaPrint), however you would need a high quality printer.

You can always give fathead a look. You can send in your own photos. So if you could get a great snapshot of Jack Trice then you can send it in.

    Re: man-cave wall ideas!

Per SvrWxCy request, here is a photo of our ISU logo wall. Please keep in mind it is still a work in progress and a couple of mirrors have been given away to friends (ISU Vet School logo & Campanile). We are planning on making an I - State logo for center middle and replacing the two we gave away. Please excuse the quality of the photo as mirrors are difficult to photograph.

an idea for your walls, the "...ev'ry yard for I.S.U." was a birthday gift. Depending on how much room you have you could put the whole song up.
