No kidding. Please NY, write as many articles as you want about Matt/ ISU bball.

I know folks scratched their heads a bit at this hire/ promotion, but is anyone disappointed so far? Who knows how good the commits he's responsible will end up being, but I feel pretty good about them at this point. And the 2013 NY names we have been linked to - dang. Could be a big/ good class!

    Nice pick Coach Fred!

Fred has made all great hires. ISU has very good coaches now in MBB, WBB and football.

Not at all. He is perfect. And his age makes him even more able to relate to these kids.
Honestly, I think Matt may even trump Otz at this point as far as recruiting goes. In the Hoiberg era, Otz has some real work to do to catch up to what Matt has already done.

Matt's done a good job, I'm just afraid he won't stick around long. Let's hope he keep doing good things while he's here.

I'm not too worried about that. I'm sure Matt will move on at some point, but it sounds like he has a real connection with Hoiberg from his days in the Timberwolves organization.

    Re: Abdelmassih and Recruiting NYC

Hoiberg gave him the chance to get out of the office and and on the court. One would think there would be some loyalty formed there because of that. He may move on eventually, but I would think that if he continues to do what we have seen so far, Fred will make room for him to move up the ladder at ISU before we lose him to another team.

Unfortunately loyalty died out some years back. Kinda like customer service did!
Now its, "I gotta do for me and mine".
Lets hope Matt is the exception.

Think you meant Jamie, instead of Fred? Pretty sure Freddie wasn't involved in the WBB or football coach hires. I guess maybe they asked him about Fennelly, that was right about when he left as a player.
