    Horrible Injustice

So let me get this straight. This guy has enough in his brain to drive a car and do a gas run and kill the guy, However, he does not have enough in his brain to stand trail so they just release him. This is another thing wrong with our justice system.

    Re: Horrible Injustice

The only thing I can think of is the brain damage was caused by the crash?

    Re: Horrible Injustice

No the cause of the crash was him trying to steal gas. The reason for the brain damage was he shot a cop a few year back and the cop shot him in the head. So basically this incident him and his buddy put gas in the car. Then took off and while trying to get away hit a National Guard Vet on his motorcycle and killed him. Now they let him go again.

IIRC correctly, there was some question previously as to whether he was faking (at least to some extent) his brain damage.

I agree, it isn't as much as if deserves to be punished as he might not really be able to aide on his defense. I can live with that argument somewhat. But what's to keep him from doing this again? If he shouldn't go to jail, shouldn't he at least be put under supervision?

    Not saying it's right but...
Officials have been working since last week to find a permanent, supervised home for Rodriguez in anticipation of the ruling.
IMO - he shouldn't see the light of day again. If not prison then a psych ward somewhere.

    Re: Horrible Injustice

This is a ******* joke. It is obvious this guy is a danger to not only himself but to others in society as well. There has to be some way to put this guy behind bars or in an institution for the rest of his life. This is absolutely sickening.

Let him go? WTF are these people thinking?
