    Big 12 comparisons.

I've always thought those comparisons they do on WRNL are funny, so I thought we should do some here.....maybe for some other conferences too.

    Ideas
    Big 12 as Car companies
    Big 12 as Ames Restaurants
Big 12 as fast food restaurants

Feel free to invent your own

Big 12 as Fast Food Restaurants

ISU = McDonalds. Does this one really need to be explained?

Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice?
Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.

    Re: Big 12 comparisons.

    Fast food restaurants

Texas-McDonalds:More money and more power than the rest of you.....too much isn"t always good for you.

Oklahoma-Burger King:Texas/McDonalds' arch rival....usually not quite as good as texas/Mcdonald, but at times can be bigger and better. Whopper/ 2010 Football season.

Texas A&M-Wendy's: The little brother (or sister) of McDonalds. Has to try different things to try and become relevant. Square Burger/SEC

Texas Tech-Subway: Exciting for a while, but after a while it becomes redundant and boring. Bob Knight basketball/Endless veggie sandwiches

OK State-Taco Bell: Everything is usually very impressive and nice, but then you hear the real story. Boone Pickens/12% meat in their stuff

Baylor-Hardee's: Usually not very good, but they will surprise every once in a while.
    Thickburgers/Robert Griffin III

Missouri-Arby's: Always very good, but never getting the respect they deserve, they have to try weird things. "good mood food" guy/B1? flirtation

Kansas-Starbuck's: They are so pathetically different from everyone. Not Even serving real food/Mark Mangino, Roy Williams

K-State-KFC: You know what you're gonna get. Fried Chicken/Bill Snyder

Iowa State-Culver's: The little midwestern guy no one really ever pays attention to. Sometimes Great, Usually OK, Sometimes terrible......always ready for some frozen custard/beer.

Baylor as Hardee's? No way in hell.

Baylor = Taco Bell. Completely ******* terrible. At least it's cheap.

If the Big 12 was carbon isotopes, ISU would be ^14C. I think it is fairly self explanatory.

Agreed. They'd probably try and make Hardee's not so gluttonous and ruin the damn thing.

    Re: Big 12 comparisons.

Big 12 as compared to the hit TGIF program Family Matters:

Carl Winslow - Texas: Carl was the patriarch of the Winslows, much like Deloss Dodds is the patriarch of the Big 12. Also, Carl spent some time out in LA where he once worked with a guy who said "yippee ki-yay" - so Texas is the logical fit

Harriet Winslow - Oklahoma: Behind every great man stands a surprised woman. Oklahoma wonders why the world revolves around Texas with their 3 Big 12 Championships compared to OUs 7 - but as long as their man's happy, then OU is happy.

Estelle Winslow - Kansas: Remember when basketball was the premier collegiate sport? Sorry grandma, nobody does...

Eddie - Oklahoma State: Eddie spent a lot of episodes convincing his dad that "I'm a man"... you see where I'm going with this.

Laura - Kansas State: Yeah, it's a bit of a stretch, but so was trying to convince TGIF viewers that Laura was hot. Laura "had it going on" later in the series, similar to how Snyder turned K. State around, but it took awhile to get there.

Judy - ISU: Do you remember that there was a third Winslow child? Everyone forgets about Judy...

Rachel - A&M: Rachel left in the 4th season to pursue other interests - ended up coming back after realizing nobody was interested

Ritchie - Baylor: Too darn cute to be cut from the show/conference.

Waldo Geraldo Faldo - Texas Tech: The conference comic relief, as supplied by The Knights and now Tommy Tubberville.

Steve Urkel - Missouri: (Looks at conference) "Did I do that????"

    Re: Big 12 comparisons.

    brady bunch

Texas-Dad Brady:The rich guy who's good at everything

Oklahoma-Mom Brady: Good at stuff, but never as good or as rich as her husband

Texas A&M-Greg: The "cool" guy who is actually a dork

    Ok State-Marcia: Everyone's friend

Texas Tech-Peter: sometimes good, sometimes bad, always in Greg/aTm's shadow

Missouri-Alice: Always very consistent, but doesn't get the respect she deserves

K-State-Jan: The quiet middle child who rarely has troubles

Kansas-Bobby: The weak little guy who spouts off all the time, but is really good at one thing. Basketball/Pool

ISU-Cindy: The little cute weakling who is surprisingly talented at various things.

Baylor-Cousin Oliver: The little kid who makes everyone angry just by looking at him...always trys to act like then superior person, but the his blatant weaknesses show

    Re: Big 12 comparisons.

big 12 as planets in our Solar System (Pluto counts)

Texas-Jupiter:The big guy everyone is scared of.

Oklahoma-Saturn: still big, but not as big as Jupiter. But they have rings.

Texas A&M-Uranus:The guy who is relatively big but is always overshadowed.

OK state-Neptune:The big weird planet with an odd rotation.

Texas Tech: Venus: A fiery little planet that is unpredictable.

Missouri-earth: a smaller planet that is overshadowed by bigger ones, but they still do good work.

Mars- Kansas: The odd guy who has nothing in common with anyone else.

Asteroid belt-K-State: Always pesky, but they stay consistent.

Mercury-Iowa State: The small little guy who is very hot on one side and very cold on the other.

Pluto-Baylor: cold, useless. Need I say more?
